Fitting kids'

ECCO Shoes fit like no other. Conventional shoes fit across kids' feet at the toes, restricting the way their toes spread as they run, skip, and jump, but ECCO's Freedom Fit fits from heel to instep. Toes spread naturally to support their weight and foster a more comfortable walking experience. When fitting children's shoes, the rule of thumb is that there should be about half an inch (a thumbnail's width) from the tip of the toe to the end of the shoe. This allows both for growth and for the foot to naturally extend in length as your child walks.

sizing tips

In general, children's feet grow quickly. This is just a guideline, but until your child is two years old, check how their shoes are fitting every two months. Between ages three and six, check every three months. After the age of seven, try checking every four months. Every child is different though, so if you notice a growth spurt, check their feet too!
